I CAN’T FIND MY FAVOURITE MR CHEN’S PRODUCT- WHERE ELSE CAN I BUY IT?
If you are struggling to find your favourite product in your local stores, try Coles or Woolworths online. Feel free to have a chat to your local store manager too and ask if they can stock the item for you!
ALRIGHT, GLUTEN & I ARE NOT FRIENDS, WHAT HAVE YOU GOT FOR ME?
You can find our Gluten Free range at Woolworths stores and online at www.woolworths.com.au , the very popular Mr Chen’s Gluten Free Prawn Hargow is always a winner but have you tried our Mr Chen’s Gluten Free Pork Dumplings?
If you want to give it a whirl, our Mr Chen’s Steamed Prawn Rolls themselves are gluten free however the sauce is NOT (as our sauces contain Soy sauce which has wheat).
Just a heads up that our Rice Noodles are made fresh in Australia and the ingredients do include wheat starch. We understand from our manufacturer that this is how they are made locally, so if you looking for noodles made 100% from rice, try the dry rice stick ones made overseas. We are very conscious of our gluten intolerant friends’ requirements and are updating our packaging to make it as clear as we can.
I WANT SAUCE!
We hear you! We are working to convince our retailers to sell this as a separate item. Drop us an email at email@example.com if you think this is a good idea.
WHAT’S IN MY DUMPLINGS? ANYTHING WITHOUT ONION & GARLIC?
Our ingredients are listed on the back or side of our packaging and also on our website in our PRODUCTS section if you’d like to take a look. The products below do not have onion and garlic:
o Prawn Hargow
o Ginger Prawn
o Steamed Prawn Roll
o Scallop Dumpling
o Crispy Prawn Wonton
ANY SPECIAL TIPS ON HOW TO COOK MY MR CHEN’S DUMPLINGS?
Microwave them! Seriously give it a go, it’s super easy! Just place on a plate, sprinkle with a little water and cook for 2-3 minutes on high. Note: the amount of time depends on the strength of your microwave, we recommend testing one first to check that it cooks properly before you cook them all.
If they’re sticking together it might mean they are over cooked. Try spraying with oil or for a healthier option, try boiling them! They tend to stick less when boiled, but make sure you don't overcook when boiling, otherwise they will fall apart.
CAN I RECYCLE THE TRAY?
The plastic tray and cardboard box are recyclable however, we are working with the major retailers to reduce our footprint and you will hopefully see some changes soon.
